New ServiceOntario Centre opening soon in Goderich - August 10, 2007

Centre Will Offer Direct And Guided Access To Government Programs, Services and Information

GODERICH—The McGuinty government is making it easier for people to access a wide range of Ontario government services and information with a new ServiceOntario centre in Goderich, Huron-Bruce MPP Carol Mitchell announced today.

“Ontarians told us they want fast, friendly and easy access to government services,” Mitchell said. “This new centre in Goderich will help ensure that we’re meeting the needs of this community and the surrounding region.”

The new centre – at 38 North Street – will be open in March 2008. Its hours of operation will be Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm.

Some specific services available will include:

  • Fishing and hunting licenses

  • Park passes

  • Big game draw applications

  • Publications sales

  • Landlord/tenant dispute applications

  • Employment standards applications

  • Land Registration Services

  • General information and referral for government programs from the federal, provincial and municipal levels

Public computers and staff guidance are also available to help customers who need online access to services such as birth, death and marriage certificates, business registrations and name searches and , lien searches and inquiries.
